The SGPC president appealed to the pro-Punjab parties to strongly oppose it
AMRITSAR: Terming the central government's decision to give separate land for the Haryana Vidhan Sabha in Chandigarh as a direct attack on the rights of Punjab, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that this approach of the government is against Punjab and Punjabis.

He said that the establishment of Chandigarh has taken place by abolishing the existence of dozens of villages of Punjab, due to which only Punjab has the right to this city. By ignoring the rights and interests of Punjab, good is not being done by the central government.

Advocate Dhami said that since the beginning of the central government, Mansha has been anti-Punjab. Sometimes there is talk of abolishing the democratic rights related to Panjab University Chandigarh and sometimes it is decided to apply the rules of the central government on the employees working in Chandigarh.

The Shiromani Committee president said that now giving Haryana a place for a separate assembly in Chandigarh is the height of deception with Punjab, in which the present government of Punjab is directly involved.

He said that the double face of Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Mann was exposed when he demanded land for a separate Punjab Vidhan Sabha through a tweet in the past.

He said that due to the conspiratorial role being played by the Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Central Government has taken action to give space to Haryana by ignoring the rights of Punjab in Chandigarh.
He said that only Punjab had a right to Chandigarh, has a right and will always have a right.

He said that although at present there is talk of giving 12 acres of land in Panchkula by Haryana in exchange of this 10 acres of land, but there is only one way to keep Punjabis deceived. Advocate Dhami said that the central government should stop this action immediately and before any decision to be taken regarding Chandigarh, consultation should be ensured with the representatives of every political party, social organizations and religious representative organizations associated with Punjab.

He appealed to all pro-Punjab parties to gather on one platform against this conspiratorial decision and protest strongly, so that this decision cannot be implemented.
