GURDASPUR: Punjab Cabinet Minister Mr. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal inaugurated the Martyr Major Balwinder Singh Bajwa Yadgari Gate (Fish Park) Gurdaspur on the occasion of Independence Day. On this occasion, he paid homage by offering floral tributes to the statue of martyr Major Balwinder Singh Bajwa.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Mohammad Ishfaq, Deepak Hillori SSP Gurdaspur, Mrs. Paramjit Kaur Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development), Dr. Amandeep Kaur Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development), Martyr's wife Excise Commissioner Mrs. Rajwinder Kaur Bajwa, mother Jasbir Kaur, Shaheed's uncle Hardeep Singh Bajwa, former District Commandant of Home Guard, AAP leader Raman Bahl, Jagrup Singh Sekhwan Kashmir Singh Wahala and Kunwar Rajinder Singh Vicky were present.
On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Dhaliwal, talking to the family members of the martyr, said that the Punjab government stands with them and the AAP government is committed to not let the families of the martyrs face any hardship.
He further informed that the Punjab government has increased the honorarium given to the families of the martyred jawans of Punjab to Rs 1 crore in honor of the soldiers who were martyred while on duty. This assistance is being given to the dependents of the soldiers who gave their lives while serving the country.
