TARN TARAN: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Vice President and former MLA of Khadoor Sahib assembly constituency, Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, has issued a strong condemnation against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for their decision to entrust critical responsibilities to leaders facing allegations of corruption within Punjab.

In a recent video statement, Brahmpura specifically highlighted the appointments of Delhi former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and former cabinet minister Satinder Jain. Both leaders, prominent figures during the Kejriwal-led government, now face scrutiny due to their nomination in significant corruption cases.

Brahmpura articulated his concern over the Aam Aadmi Party's decision to position Sisodia and Jain as in-charge and co-in-charge of Punjab affairs, respectively, suggesting it represents an intent to exploit Punjabis once more. He pointed out the approval by Hon'ble President Draupadi Murmu for a First Information Report (FIR) against these leaders concerning an alleged Rs 1, 300 crore scam involving the construction of government school classrooms in Delhi. This development follows a 2022 report by the Vigilance Directorate of Delhi, which prompted a call for further investigation.

The former MLA questioned the potential impact and integrity of leaders previously entangled in corruption on the welfare of Punjab and its cultural identity, Punjabiyat.

He warned of potential misuse of Punjab's resources, notably in terms of the state's security apparatus and other governmental luxuries.

In his message to Punjabis, Brahmpura urged vigilance against opportunistic AAP leaders who promise allegiance but ultimately prioritize personal gain. Referencing recent mistreatment of farmer communities, he called for awareness and caution. Additionally, he criticized Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for remaining passive amidst these developments,
Brahmpura concluded with a rallying call for unity within Punjab under the leadership of the Shiromani Akali Dal, spearheaded by Sukhbir Singh Badal. Emphasizing the importance of protecting Punjab's heritage, religion, and integrity, he cautioned against divisive narratives that seek to undermine regional parties like SAD.

"Let us rally together under one banner to safeguard our collective legacy and values, " Brahmpura asserted, reaffirming his confidence in SAD as a bastion for Punjab's future.
