AAP Punjab President Aman Arora Launches AAP's Election Campaign in Phagwara
PHAGWARA: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) launched its official campaign for the Phagwara Municipal Corporation elections today, unveiling a visionary manifesto with Five Key Guarantees aimed at transforming the city.
Punjab AAP President Aman Arora who released these five guarantees in the presence of AAP Halka Incharge Joginder Singh Maan, District President Lalita Saklani AAP Spokesman Harnoor Maan and Phagwara Improvement Trust Chairman Advocate Kashmir Singh Malhi in Hotel Ashish here on Saturday Evening said that the party is committed to delivering these promises immediately after assuming office, which include 50 e-buses, state-level stadium in Babba Gadhia Phagwara, and upgrading of Sewerage Treatment Plant.
While addressing a news conference Aman Arora assured that all projects would commence without delay, demonstrating AAP’s focus on transparency and accountability in governance.
He was accompanied by AAP MLA Jasbir Gill, Sunny Ahulwalia, Lok Sabha Incharge Harinder Bakshi .
Addressing the press conference, Aman Arora said, “AAP is ready to bring real change to Phagwara. These guarantees are not just promises; they are our commitments to the people of this great city. As soon as AAP’s mayor takes office, work on these projects will begin without delay.”
Arora highlighted AAP’s track record of delivering on promises across Punjab under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s leadership. He expressed confidence that the party would secure victory in all wards, given the overwhelming support from the people of Phagwara.
AAP also welcomed several prominent leaders and citizens from other parties who have joined its ranks, reflecting the growing trust in the party’s vision and leadership.
When asked about the announcement of AAP in 2022 to make Phagwara a district, Arora said all promises would must be fulfilled. When his attention was drawn towards the dissidence of a transgender Mahno Mahant who was denied party ticket after long promises and now is contesting as Independent candidate, AAP State President said candidates were selected strictly on merits by screening committee. He however was agreed for upliftment of the transgenders in the society.
