KAPURTHALA:As per the instructions of Punjab Government, the district administration has started the process to rationalise the collector rates of land in the district. It may be mentioned here that from last three years the collector rates remains unchanged .
While presiding over the meeting of revenue officials Deputy commissioner Vishesh sarangal has asked the revenue officials to submit their proposals to rationalise the collector rates as per the market rates of lands, location of land , commercial value of land and land along the newly built roads etc by consulting all the stake holders .
He also said that the officials must keep in mind the market value of commercial land, residential colonies while proposing the new collector rates.
Besides that to fill the gaps between the high commercial rates and low collector rates at some areas in the district , the Deputy commissioner said that the revenue officials must check all parameters related to concerned area.
He said that the district administration would prepare the report of new collector rates, which was to be sent to the state government for fixation of rates in the district.
