AMRITSAR: In Amritsar East constituency, Punjab Congress President Navjot Sidhu suffered a major setback when Congress Councilor Jatinder Kaur Sonia from city ward no. Joined Mr. Rajan Gill, General Secretary, Akali Dal was also present on the occasion.
On this occasion Bikram Singh Majithia honored Councilor Jatinder Kaur Sonia with titles and assured that she would be given full respect and responsibility in the party.
On this occasion Bikram Singh Majithia said that people were uniting to end the politics of hatred of Congress. He said that Jatinder Kaur Sonia was a grassroots leader who had been the district president of the women's wing of the Congress for six years. He said that joining of three time councilor Jatinder Kaur Sonia in Akali Dal has come as a big shock to PPCC President Navjot Sidhu. He said that Jatinder Kaur Sonia and her associates had been with Navjot Sidhu and his wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu for a long time in spite of their difficulties as they were willing to do the work of the people. He said that even these councilors were never respected by the Sidhu couple.
Jatinder Kaur Sonia is the fourth councilor to leave the Congress and join the Akali Dal after laddu wrestlers Rajesh Madan and Rajinder Saini. Mr. Majithia said that leaving the party in the constituency of PPCC President by such a large number of councilors was to reject the politics of their arrogance and ego.
He said that these people have joined the Akali Dal today for the sake of universal communion and love and respect.
Attacking Sidhu, Majithia said that PPCC President has always been the face of Congress for the post of Chief Minister. Can't walk and do politics of hatred in this holy land.
On this occasion Councilor Jatinder Kaur Sonia said that the honesty of Navjot Sidhu is absolutely hypocritical.
He said that Sidhu couple was trying to mislead the people of Punjab.
On this occasion Jatinder Kaur Sonia also thanked the residents of her ward.
Along with Jatinder Kaur Sonia, Usha Sharma, Sanjay Pradhan, Deepak Seth, Gurpartap Singh Happy, Rajesh Kumar, Harpal, Harinder, Nishan Singh, Vivek Khanna, Jatinder and Soni also left the Congress and joined the Akali Dal.
