Agricultural goods will be GST free under India Alliance government – Kharge

AMRIK SINGH | May 28, 2024 09:45 PM

AMRITSAR: Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge has promised that every agricultural item will be made GST free as soon as the India Alliance government is formed. Mallikarjun ji was addressing a press conference in favor of Congress' Amritsar Lok Sabha candidate Gurjeet Singh Aujla.

He said that today there is disappointment and despair among the youth of Punjab. Drug addiction has become the biggest challenge for the future of Punjab. People are forced to migrate from Punjab for employment. This is the reason why villages are becoming empty, because people do not want their children to fall into drug addiction.

He said that demonetization and wrong GST have caused huge loss to the MSMEs of Punjab. If our government comes, we will simplify this process and help small industries. At the same time, farmers of Punjab will also not have to pay GST on agricultural goods. Farmers of Punjab and Haryana grow so much grain even on less land, due to which the grain stores of the country remain full.

But when the farmers sat on the protest for their demands, the Modi government caused them a lot of trouble and did not even listen to them. More than 700 farmers were martyred in the farmers' movement, but Narendra Modi did not care.

He said that the way businessmen are being intimidated and threatened by the investigating agencies today, our government will end these problems.

Mallikarjun said that if the India Alliance government is formed, six guarantees will be given which include permanent job to the youth, Rs 1 lakh per year to a woman from every poor family, minimum daily wage of Rs 400 to the workers, legal MSP to the farmers and loan Will forgive, will give 10 kg free food grains.

Apart from this, the country will be run according to the Constitution. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi talks a lot but works less. Modi ji had promised Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas but in BJP, there is Sabka Saath Sabka Satyanash. He said that he is not against Modi ji or any party but against an ideology which is bent on changing the Constitution of the country and is running a dictatorial government, that is why now the Indian coalition government is trying to save the Constitution of the country. On this occasion, Punjab In charge Davinder Yadav, former Deputy CM Om Prakash Soni, Dr. Rajkumar, Jasbir Singh Dimpa, Harpratap Ajnala, Ashwani Pappu and other Congress leaders were present.
