MOHALI: Congress former Punjab Minister, Balbir Singh Sidhu filed his nomination papers from Mohali assembly seat on Monday.
Talking to the media after filing the nomination, Sidhu said that Congress is again going to form a government in Punjab. As far as the Mohali seat is concerned we will win it again with a big margin.
Replying to a media question on the five corner fight in Mohali this time, Sidhu said that he is fighting elections from 2002 onwards. Whether its two corners or five corners the Congress vote is intact, he asserted.
“We have worked tirelessly for public welfare. In the past five years we have brought development in Mohali on a large scale. The people of Mohali have belief in Congress and me. So it doesn’t matter how many candidates are fighting the election. The people of Mohali want development and this time too they are going to ensure Congress win with thumping majority, ”
Sidhu further said that in this election we are seeking votes on our work performance in the past five years.
“We are not seeking votes on false propagandas or accusing rivals. Our agenda is very clear from the day one of our election campaign that we would go in people court again based on our report card, ”
We believe that we did our best in past years. I am sure that Mohali voters will ensure my fourth straight win from Mohali by breaking my previous winning margin in 2017, Sidhu claimed.
