PHAGWARA: The Nakodar Sadar police on Friday solved the murder case of Jalandhar resident Mukesh Kumar, a resident of Tilak Nagar under Bhargo Camp police station.
Nakodar Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sukhpal Singh and Station House Officer (SHO) Baljindar Singh said that Neeru Bala wife of the deceased and her paramour Harpreet Singh son of Som Nath a resident of Eid Gah Mohalla, Garrha, Jalandhar have been arrested on the charge of murder.
DSP said Neeru and Harpreet were working in a D- Mart store in Jalandhar and devolved into illicit relations and Neeru wanted to marry her paramour and instigated him to murder Mukesh. Mukesh Kumar was found dead on December 19 and his body was recovered from a potato field near Mudh village.
Satpal father of the deceased had complained to the police that his son Mukesh went on a motorcycle on December 19 evening to Nakodar to pay for his obeisance at Dera Murad Shah.
He had said his son did not return home and he began to search for Mukesh on December 20. In the morning, he found out that his son’s body was lying in potato fields near Mudh village.
Sat Pal had said some unidentified accused murdered his son with sharp-edged weapons hitting his head.
SHO said a case under section 103 (murder) 3(5) (committing a crime with common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita was registered against the accused adding a sharp-edged weapon and two motorcycles (one of the deceased) has been recovered from the accused.
SHO said that the accused are being produced in a Nakodar court for police remand for further investigations.
