PHAGWARA: More than half dozen miscreant youths forcibly kidnapped a young girl studying in Lovely Professional University Phagwara on December 27 afternoon.
Vipin Malhotra resident of New Harkrishan Nagar Phagwara and father of the girl told before the police that his daughter studying in LPU went on her Activa Scooter for some domestic work but was reportedly kidnapped by 7-8 youths and now keeping her hostage.
The Complainant told the police that he was suspicious that three youths identified as Sukhbir Ghagh, Gurpartap(Both residents of village Nangal-Saprod) and Rajat Mittal residing in Gilco colony Phagwara along with 7-8 unidentified youths chased his daughter in two different cars and forcibly took her in the car and fled towards unknown places.
Phagwara DSP Bharat Bhushan said the Police have registered a case under 346 IPC against three identified youths and searching for the missing girl.
