NAKODAR: The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested the main accused on the charge of murdering a youth.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Sukhpal Singh Station House Officer (SHO) Baljindar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Sukhwindar Singh alias Kamando son of Paramjit Singh, a resident of Rasul Pur village.
SHO said that the accused and his seven accomplices had attacked and shot dead Kulwinder Singh alias Kindi (30) a resident of Kala Sangha village near Uggi village in the month of August.
Charan Dass a resident of Kala Sangha village and the father of the deceased had complained to the police that his son Kindi was standing near Uggi village with his friend Laddu and two others the accused reached there and attacked Kindi with sharp-edged weapons and he tried to save himself by running from the spot when the accused Sukhwindar Singh Kamando fired from his pistol at Kindi which pierced his legs and he died on the spot.
He had said the accused had threatened his son to kill him who had come from Bangalore to attend a court case against him.
SHO said a case under sections 103(murder), 191(3) (committing an offense with common intention), and 190(unlawful assembly) of the BNS and sections 25/54/59 of the Arms Act were registered against the accused and seven criminal cases are pending against him.
