RCED hosted empowering and motivational guest lecture by Preeti Monga

CHANDIGARH: RCED is proud to have hosted an empowering and motivational guest lecture by the remarkable Preeti Monga, a true icon of courage and resilience. As a National Award recipient and a passionate advocate for the empowerment of visually impaired individuals, Preeti Monga shared her personal journey of overcoming challenges and breaking barriers. During the session, she spoke about her tireless efforts to build confidence and independence among blind students, particularly empowering young blind girls, and demonstrating how belief in one's abilities can truly transform lives.

Her dedication to promoting self-belief and autonomy within the visually impaired community serves as a powerful example of leadership, perseverance, and social change. The impact of her work not only uplifts individuals but also contributes to paving the way for a more inclusive society. Preeti Ma’am’s exceptional contributions to the empowerment of the visually impaired community have earned her widespread recognition, including the Manav Sewa Award, presented by Sonia Gandhi, in acknowledgment of her unwavering commitment to social
service.

In addition to her advocacy work, Preeti Monga is also a published author. She has written two inspiring books, “The Other Senses" and "Flight without Sight, ” which highlight her experiences and offer a deeper understanding of life without sight, while inspiring others to break limitations and rise above challenges.

RCED is also thrilled to announce that Preeti Monga has recently opened Silver Linings, a new office located in Sector 13, Mani Majra. Through Silver Linings, Preeti Ma’am continues her invaluable mission of educating and empowering blind students, particularly young girls, by providing them with the necessary skills and unwavering motivation to excel in life. RCED expresses its heartfelt gratitude to Preeti Monga for inspiring our students, staff, and community. Her journey serves as a beacon of hope and a powerful reminder to dream big and to face challenges with courage, determination, and resilience.
