Police Attach Property Worth ₹3.7 Million of Village Lachhwan Drug Trafficker

KAPURTHALA: Acting on the Punjab Government’s directives to combat drug trafficking, the Kapurtala police, under the anti-drug campaign, have attached the property of a notorious drug trafficker in the district.

Senior Superintendent of the Police Vatsala Gupta said that the property of Gurdev Singh, a resident of village Lachhwan, worth ₹3.7 million has been attached. A notice has been pasted outside his house. The district police team, executed this action. Gurdev Singh was identified in a registered old drug case in Jalandhar. In this case, the central government ordered the attachment of property worth ₹3.7 million on June 12. Along with the property attachment, vehicles and other moveable assets were also seized. Gurdev Singh's family has been informed about this action, and now the property belongs to the central government. The notice will be valid for two days. This is part of the central government's ongoing efforts to bring peace to the area by combating drug trafficking. Similar actions will be taken in other villages, targeting properties of identified traffickers. SSP Gupta urged the people to cooperate cops in maintaining a drug-free environment.
