PHAGWARA: A tragic road accident on the Phillaur-Goraya highway claimed the life of a motorcyclist, officials confirmed.
According to ASI Jaswinder Singh, in-charge of the Road Safety Force, the accident occurred near Dusanjh Khurd village when the rider lost control and crashed into the roadside railing. The police took custody of the motorcycle and the deceased’s body and informed the Phillaur police station.
The victim has been identified as Harpinder Singh, a resident of Wahadewal under Laduwal police station. Family members revealed that he was involved in agricultural activities on farmland in Mand.
The Police said that the victim’s family members are currently abroad, and further legal action will be taken based on their statements upon arrival. Meanwhile, the body has been sent to Civil Hospital Phillaur for further procedures.
