CHANDIGARH: Tourism Finance Corporation of India (TFCI) , for the first time, under its CSR Sponsorship granted a program for Skill Development in Chandigarh. The program was organized by Regional Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (RCED) in association with University Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management (UIHTM), Panjab University, Chandigarh to train 30 students in Chef Trade.
The RCED organized a certificate distribution ceremony for the successful completion of the Skill Development training program in Chef Trade here on Tuesday at University Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management (UIHTM), Panjab University, Chandigarh. The ceremony was graced by Dr. Arun Singh Thakur, Director - UIHTM, Mr. Paramjit Singh, Director - RCED, and other dignitaries.
The Skill Development training program was aimed to equip aspiring chefs with industry-relevant skills and knowledge. The candidates underwent rigorous training for 45 days under the guidance of experienced professionals. The program included both theoretical and practical sessions, providing the candidates with hands-on experience and the ability to handle real-world scenarios. Along with technical inputs , sessions on soft skills were also provided to the students.
The successful completion of the program marks a significant milestone in the candidates' professional journey and serves as a testament to their hard work and dedication. The certificate distribution ceremony was a celebration of their accomplishments and an opportunity to recognize their efforts.
