MOHALI: Intensifying Congress campaign for Mohali MC elections, Punjab Health Minister and local sitting Congress MLA, Balbir Sidhu on Sunday addressed over 25 elections meetings in support of party candidates including Rishab Jain, Raj Rani Jain, Kulwant Singh Kaler , Vineet Malik, Prabhjot Kaur Sidhu, Baljit Kaur and Ravinder Singh.
In his speech, he lambasted former Mohali Mayor, Kulwant Singh for switching loyalties for vested interests.
After seeing no future for SAD in Mohali MC election due to ongoing farmers' protest he parted away from Akali Dal and formed Azad Group to contest in this MC election.
This is not the first time he has switched loyalties. In fact he is a master in switching loyalties in the past too.But this time the people of Mohali will teach him a lesson for putting personal interest first, Sidhu maintained.
The people have already made up their mind to ensure Congress's win in the MC election.
Congress is the only party in Mohali who is putting a united face in MC poll where its opponents have found it hard to nominate candidates for all 50 wards.
The farmers' protest has exposed SAD and BJP both. The people are not fools. Mohali voters are well educated to understand which party works for community welfare and which are known to force oppressive policies on the public.
In fact Mohali MC elections are a golden chance for Mohali people to set an example by routing anti people parties and ensuring Congress's win, he added.
