CHANDIGARH: The Regional Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (RCED) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the City Mission Management Unit (CMMU) – DAY NULM, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh. This strategic partnership aims to enhance the implementation capacity of DAY National Urban Livelihood Mission (DAY NULM) in Chandigarh.
The agreement, signed by the Ms. Isha Khamboj, HCS, Joint Commissioner cum Nodal Officer, CMMU and the Director Mr. Paramjit Singh of RCED, along with the presence of Mr. Vivek Trivedi, Social Development Officer, Geeru Sehagal, DAY- NULM and Mr. Satvinder Singh, Senior Advisor is set to provide technical assistance and implementation support from RCED.
This collaboration will facilitate the continuous flow of high-quality Community Resource Persons (CRPs) and Professional Resource Persons (PRPs). It also focuses on identifying affinity groups, forming Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and their federations in urban areas, building their capacities, ensuring financial inclusion and bank linkages, and providing handholding support to ensure sustainability.
This MoA marks a significant step towards empowering urban communities and fostering sustainable development in Chandigarh under the DAY NULM strategy.
