Empowering Future Migrant Workers

CHANDIGARH: In an innovative initiative spearheaded by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), the Pre-Departure Orientation Training (PDOT) program has successfully engaged 13 participants from prominent regions including Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh (U.P.), and Haryana.

This joint effort is designed to equip migrant workers with essential knowledge on cultural norms, language skills, and regulatory information pertinent to their future overseas assignments, ensuring their safety and security. Administered by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), the program featured the esteemed Regional Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (RCED) as the facilitation hub.

Under the expert guidance of Mr. Satvinder Singh and Mr. Jatinder Singh, the participants received comprehensive training that enhanced their skills and awareness. The training concluded with a significant ceremony where certificates of achievement were awarded to the participants. Mr. Paramjit Singh, the esteemed Director of RCED, and Mr. Paramjit from London presided over the certificate distribution, while Mr. Vijay Arora, the distinguished General Manager, provided crucial support and expertise, contributing to the program notable success.

This initiative not only underscores a commitment to enhancing skilled labor but also emphasizes the importance of thorough preparation and support for individuals embarking on international opportunities.
