CHANDIGARH: The Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB), in collaboration with the Department of Transfusion Medicine at PGIMER, Chandigarh, organized a blood donation camp at BBMB headquarters. The camp was held in the honor of Late Maj.
Gen. B.N. Kumar, former Chairman of BBMB, who laid down his life in the service of organization. The camp saw a strong turnout, with around 100 BBMB employees and volunteers came to the camp to contribute to this life-saving cause. Each unit of blood collected will go directly to PGIMER’s blood bank, helping to meet the critical demand for blood in emergency and essential medical procedures.
Mr Manoj Tripathi, Chairman of BBMB, commended the dedication of all participants and highlighted the impact of blood donation as a vital contribution to the community. “Blood donation is a selfless act of service, one that has the power to save lives and make a tangible difference in healthcare. BBMB is delighted to support PGIMER in this important endeavour, and we are proud of everyone who joined hands with us today to support this noble cause, ”
he said.
