Youth festival of Vet Varsity will be organized in two phases from November 25th

LUDHIANA: Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana is going to organise Youth Festival from 25th November 2024. The whole show will be organized in two phases from 25th Nov. to 05th Dec. While revealing this information Dr. Parkash Singh Brar, Director Students’ welfare said that students are very cheerful and enthusiastic for the preparation of their events. He informed that our students hold a winning record in different extra-curricular activities at all India Agricultural & Veterinary Inter University fests in the past and have won a number of prizes and trophies in these events.

Dr. Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, Vice-Chancellor said that the fest will be the springboard for students to achieve the new heights in extracurricular and creative activities. Dr. Brar informed that to streamline all the functioning, committees have been formed and duties allocated.

Dr. APS Brar, Organizing Secretary informed that in the first phase Photography, Quiz, Poster Making and Cartooning competitions will be on 25th Nov. ‘On the Spot Painting’, ‘Collage making’, ‘Elocution and Poetry’ on 26th Nov. ‘Rangoli Making’, ‘Clay Modeling’, and ‘Installation’ competitions will be on 27th Nov and ‘Creative Writing’, ‘Extempore’ and ‘Debate’ on 28th Nov. In the second phase formal Inauguration, Folk Songs, Creative Dance (solo) Shabad Gayam, Light Vocal and Group Songs (Indian) will be held on 03rd Dec. Theatre events like Mime, Skit, One Act Play and Mimicry on 04th Dec. On the final day of the fest on 05th Dec. Group Folk Dance (Male/Female) will be staged. Dr. Nidhi Sharma, joint-organising secretary informed that these festivals develop cordial relations in students whereas it helps to build confidence in them. Prize distribution will be held on the concluding day. The entire fest will be conducted according to the notified rules of inter University competitions.

Dr. Parkash Singh Brar hoped that the festival will deliver healthy, cheerful and colourful impressions to all the participants and spectators.
