Personal Effectiveness and Grooming Workshop at KCA

AMRITSAR: The Rotaract Club & Red Ribbon Club Khalsa College, Amritsar (KCA) in Collaboration with Procter & Gamble, organized “Personal Effectiveness and Grooming Workshop” for female students of various departments. Around 502 female students from several departments participated in this event. The primary objective of the event was to elevate and enrich the female students with the knowledge of tactics to become confident women.

Principal, Dr. Mehal Singh, Dr. Taminder Bhatia, Dean Acadamic Affairs, Dr. Sawraj Kaur, Coordinator said today’s females are representing themselves and showing a confident picture of womanhood.

Dr. Sawraj Kaur introduced the theme of the workshop and welcomed the key note speaker Amardeep Kaur and Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, former professor of sociology, GNDU and present Incharge of Rotaract Club. They enlighted the participants about the personal effectiveness by highlighting the importance of personal care and grooming routines. She motivated students for tracking their emotions and building connections through LinkedIn platform. Moreover, she explained the importance of first impression, eye contact and body language to become a confident woman and becoming their own boss.

Nukkad Natak on the theme Beteiyan was also presented by college students which received an overwhelming response. Supninder kaur, Head, Department of English, extended vote of thanks. She also said that the Rotaract Club and Red Ribbon Club are committed towards holistic development of all the female students in Khalsa College. She assured that club will keep on organising such events in future too.

Dr. Gurveil Singh (Faculty Advisor), Dr. Parminder Singh (Nodal Officer), Orgainsing Committee Members namely Dr. Jaswinder Kaur, Prof. Reema Sachdeva, Dr. Sakshi Sharma, M. P. Masih, Kiranpreet Kaur (student President Red Ribbon Club) and Japneet Kaur (student President Rotaract Club) were present during the programme.
