MOHALI: Over 300 patients were examined at a free mega health check-up camp organized at the Bahra Super Specialty Hospital, a venture of the Rayat Bahra University here today.
Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Promoter of the Bahra Super Specialty Hospital, who is also Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University, said that the camp was the first in a series of such camps which would be organized every Saturday in the coming month of March.
Free CT scan, X-ray, ultrasound and other pathological tests were done where needed at this camp. Free medical consultation was provided by specialist doctors of the Bahra Super Specialty Hospital.
Bahra said that this was a novel effort by the Bahra Super Specialty Hospital to help the poor people of the area who could not afford costly medical tests. He said that the hospital was committed to providing specialized healthcare facilities to the people of the area so that they do not have to go far off places for treatment.
A team of doctors comprising Dr Jaspreet Singh (neurosurgeon), Dr Harjivan Singh (orthopedics), Dr Gursimran Singh (internal medicine), Dr Balvin Kaur (gynecology). Dr Kirat kaur, besides others, examined the patients.
