Chandigarh University hosts opening ceremony of 2 Chandigarh Music and Film Festival 2022

CHANDIGARH: Cinema & Music creates lots of excitement and similar sentiments were witnessed at the opening ceremony of second Chandigarh Music and Film Festival 2022 that took place at Chandigarh University, in the presence of eminent celebrities from the field of films and television.

Leading personalities including Imtiaz Ali, KC Bokadia, Dilip Sen, Dev Sharma, Arjumman Mughal, Abhishek Dudhalya, Saurabh Shukla, Akhilendra Mishra, Rana Jung Bahadur, Gavie - Chahal, Sharhaan Singh, Preeti Sapru created resonance with their presence at the opening ceremony.

The festival aims to feature great cinema & at the same time provide more insights & current trends of the cinema industry .

The event witnessed various segments starting from engrossing & enriching conversations with the filmmakers, music directors, actors creating vibrance and fervour around their amazing engagement & responses with the young crowd. The objective was to bring them all together by sharing their thoughts, ideas on the current trends in filmmaking, how Indian cinema has evolved over the years and showcasing some of the amazing films. The enlightening session with eminent celebrities proved to be insightful, thought provoking, and filled an aura of curiosity in the minds of the attendees & the filmmakers alike .

The second day (22 April) of the event is all set to start on a promising note with the biggest attraction of CMFF discussion with the renowned retrospective film-maker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri along with noted actress Pallavi Joshi, where they shall share their insights on their films. Film Screening of Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri's 2 Films, Buddha in Traffic Jam and The Tashkent Files, shall be showcased. The day shall end with a joyful note with the music festival at Elante Mall, which shall generate a lot of excitement amongst the visitors.

The closing ceremony on Day 3 of the event
(23 April) is scheduled to take place at Municipal Bhavan, sector 35 A, Chandigarh , is all set to start with lots of excitement and jovial , as it's going to witness something, which is never usually seen in film festivals, that is Film Bazar , where OTT Players , Television channels all coming together , to watch films that are being screened in film festival and meet Filmmakers , Actors .It will be one of its kind, where both will get to interact with each other.

Sharing excitement, Rajesh Sharma, Film Director Dehradun International Film Festival said , "We are really blessed and overjoyed with the amount of love and support people have shown to us . This film festival will definitely inspire many upcoming talented filmmakers, budding artists as they will feel connected with the understanding, depth and knowledge of the art and science of film making.
