GND Varsity emerge NZ Hockey Chmpions

CHANDIGARH: Guru Nanak Dev University prevailed over hosts  Panjab University Chandigarh by 3-2 in the four-team super league of the North Zone Inter-University Hockey Tournament at the PU Campus here today.
The highlight ot the match was a brilliant hat-trick by Harmanpreet Singh which paved the way for Guru Nanak Dev University  to emerge winners.  
Punjabi University beat Maharishi Dayanand University-Rohtak beat 3-1.
Guru Nanak Dev University (winners), Panjab University, Chandigarh (runners-up), Punjabi University, Patiala (third place) and Maharishi Dayanand University Rohtak (fourth place) have qualified for the All India Inter University Hockey (Men) Championship to be held at New Delhi in March.
FENCING AND TABLE TENNIS
 GGD SD College, Sector-32, Chandigarh won the Panjab University Inter College Fencing (Men) Championship for the session 2017-18. Panjab University, Campus, PGGC, Sec-11, Chd and DAV College, Sec-10, Chd second, third and fourth position.
GGD SD College, Sector-32, Chandigarh won the Panjab University Inter College Table-Tennis (Women) Championship for the session 2017-18. MCM DAV College, Sec-36, Chd and Panjab University, Campus, second and third position.
GGD SD College, Sector-32, Chandigarh won the Panjab University Inter College Table-Tennis (Men) Championship for the session 2017-18. Panjab University, Campus, Chd, SGGS College, Sec-26, Chd and CCET College, Sec26, Chd second, third and fourth position.
