PATIALA: SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal who is known for hiswhimsical commentry of events and people has embarrassed again today at Patiala rally of Akali Dal where he again did a faux pas, calling Parkash Singh Badal his real father-a father like (Mere Pita Samaan) figure.

Sukhbir Badal had not done it for the first time. He also called 'father like' to Parkash Singh Badal in a party conference at Maghi Mela in Muktsar in 2011. Badal at that time corrected him saying that he is not father like, he is his father. This time Badal kept mum or he failed to notice the utterances of his son. SAD spokesman later blamed it on media for wrong interpretation of Sukhbur Badal's words. Sukhbir often becomes laughing stock on social media for his habit of telling gossips about his achievements and building castles in the air.

Sukhbir Badal who is facing allegations of involvement in sacrilege cases of Guru ranth Sahib and striking a deal with dera Sacha Sauda head Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh to poardon him at Akal Takht is passing through a tough tinme and stress on his mind is an obvious reason. The SAD is facing a serious political crisis as no senior leader of party attended the Patiala rally. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa a senior leader of Malwa who had resigned fromn party posts didnt turn up despite best efforts by Badal family. No leader from Majha region attended the rally including Badal's son in law Adesh Partap Singh Kairon. The Majha leaders Ranjit Singh Brahmpura, Rattan Singh Ajnala and Sewa Singh Sekhwan had challenged the leadership of Sukhbir Badal and decided to stay away from rally.

The Patiala rally was prestigious event for Badal family members who are struggling to save their prestige after accusitions against them particularly after facts revealed in Justice Ranjit Singh Commission. The commission report has clearly said Parkash Singh Badal was involved in firing in Behbal Kalan where two Sikhs were killed by police. The report has also raised questiions about Badal protecting accused of sacrilege and guilty police officers.

While SAD had held a rally in Patiala agaisnt repression of Congress government, teh Congress held a rally in Killianwali the home cfonstituency of Badal to expose misdeeds of Badal family. The AAP dissident MLA and former leader of opposition Sukhpal Singh Khaira took a march from Kotkapura to Bargari seeking arrest of Badals for their involvement in sacrilege cases. Khaira and other AAP leaders later joined another rally being held against SAD and Congress in Bargari, alleging both these parties playing friendkly match to befool the people.

At Patiala rally SAD leaders vent their ire against the media and targeted selected TV channel and newspapers for making misleading propaganda. Sukhbir Badal and Jagor Kaur named Zee TV and Rozana Spokesman for defaming SAD.

The Sikhs by and large stayed away from the Badals's rally and reports said that people were lured to attend the rally. Large number of non-Sikhs were seen carrying SAD flags. The turn out at Bargari was unexpected and spontaneous, said the observers.
