CBI arrests five for possession of 158 kg cannabis

NEW DELHI : The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested five private persons in a case relating to alleged possession of 158 Kgs (approx) cannabis (Ganja).
A case was registered against said accused persons, residents of Panipat & Kurukshetra (Haryana) U/s 20 r/w 8 & 29 of the NDPS Act, 1985. CBI intercepted the gang at Saharanpur Railway Station. The said gang was detained there from train No. 13151 (Sealdeh Express). During the search, 158 Kgs (approx) of cannabis (Ganja) was found in their possession.

The arrested accused were produced before the court of ADJ (III) Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh) and were remanded to judicial custody.
Further investigation is continuing.
