Canada based NRI arrested in firing case

PHAGWARA: The Phagwara Police have  succeeded to solve a “Firing Case” in nearby Village Hardasspur and arrested a Canada based NRI Tirlochan Singh and his another accomplice identified as Lakhbir Singh of Village Talwandi Sabho under section 307/342/336/457/380/447/506/148/149 IPC and Arms Act.

The policed has recovered two double barrel guns,One Country made Pistol,Eight Live Cartridges,five empty cartridges,One Activa Scootor PB-09-7822,One Motorcycle PB-09-6532, one Fridge,One LPG Cylinder,Seven Swords and one Tata Safari Car from their possession.

The Superintendent of the Police Phagwara Parminder Singh Bhandhal said the accused NRI Tirlochan Singh hired few criminals through Punjab Gatka Party President Sarabjit Singh Babbu to vacate his parental house at Village Hardaspur  which was given to a Villager Jinderpal few years back who was residing in the house as care taker, but despite repeated requests Jhinderpal was not ready to vacate the house and ultimately NRI Tirlochan alongwith other accomplices went to the house after midnight last night broke pen the door and ransacked the house threatening Jhinder to vacate the house immediately and started loading the household goods in the car.

During heated arguements the accused opened fire and Amandeep nephew of Jhinderpal sustained bullet injuries. He was admitted to local Civil Hospital.SP Bhandhal said that the police is investigating the matter and the remaining accused would also be nabbed soon.
