India to cement business ties with Nepal, Sri Lanka, Iraq and Czech

AMRITSAR : Keeping in view the ever growing demand in sphere of production, PHDCCI today organized a buyer–seller meet in five - day PITEX. Entrepreneurs from score of countries who have thronged the venue and have displayed their products in PITEX expressed their views and apprised the viewers of their potential.

Opening the session, Chairman of PHDCCI's Punjab chapter, R.S. Sachdeva, enumerated that it is the third occasion when on Punjab's soil, overseas businessmen have drawn attention towards their ventures as they have found a common platform to project themselves and display their talent.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Milan Tous from CZECH republic spoken on Opportunities of doing business in CZECH highlighting on automative and engineering sector.

In his opinion, automotive is a strong export industry and already Czech and Indian companies have set up their foreign branches in the two respective countries. Production of car is one of highest per capita in Czech in the world. 1.3 million units manufactured in a year in Czech which is one of the hiighest in the highest in the world. and indian companies hies of being a part of teh success story through various options like being suppliers or investors or any other suitable option.
Asela D Livera, Deputy President of Sri Lanka's National Chamber of Commerce, however, pointed out that along with many other nations, Sri Lanka too has been pinning its hopes to flourish business ties with India and in the wake of it, it was very likely that a conducive atmosphere for business and trade expansion would be ensured between all the participating nations. He also stated that building material produced in India was in great demand in Sri Lanka and our citizens always prefer India-made ceiling tiles, bathroom fittings and other accessories to be used for construction.

Khaldoon Tareq Yaseen of Iraq, however, stressed the need for strengthening boost to business in automotive sector. Dinesh Vashisht of Escorts Fortis while eulogising the efforts of the organisers termed 'PITEX' a great success.
