AMRITSAR: The two-day long 'Annual Sports Festival 2024-25’ was organized at Khalsa College Chawinda Devi. in which more than 800 students from 20 different schools participated. On the first day, sports competitions were organized and on the second day a cultural program was presented by the students.
Principal Dr.Gurdev Singh said Satya Bharti School Fatthubhila and Holy Word School jointly won the overall trophy. While Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary School, Gopalpura and Struggling School Waryam Nangal won the second overall trophy and Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Abdal and Baba Bir Singh Public School, Mattewal won the third position.He earlier welcomed the chief guest, former Head of the Sports Department of Guru Nanak Dev University Dr. Sukhdev Singh, by presenting a bouquet of flowers. On this occasion, Dr. Sukhdev motivated the students to move forward in the field of sports without any fear or hesitation.
They distributed prizes to the winning schools and students in the sports competition. They praised the hard work of the in-charge of the college sports department, Prof. Manpreet Kaur and all the staff and thanked the the participants. On this occasion, Principal Palwinder Singh Sarhala from Paradise School Tahli Sahib, Principal Jatinder Singh from Baba Bir Singh School Mattewal, Principal Pradeep Singh from Holy World School, Principal Amarjit Singh from Baba Namdev Senior Secondary School Mardi, Principal Paramjit Kaur from Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary School Gopalpura, Principal Ranjita Kaur from Satya Bharti School Fatobhila, Principal Amarjit Kaur from Sterling School Waryam Nangal, Principal Pooja Jain from Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary School Abdal, Principal Sukhpreet Kaur from Holy World School Hardo Jhande and their in-charges and teachers were also present.
