KAITHAL: In a case of mobile snatching the court of Sessions Judge Ritu YK Bahl, has sentenced a youth to 5 years imprisonment and a fine of ten thousand rupees. An additional sentence of 2 months will have to be served for not paying the fine. In this regard, Krishna Verma resident Ashoka Colony Kaithal had filed a case number 103 under Section 379-A IPC on March 10, 2017.
On behalf of the prosecution, the case was argued by Deputy District Attorney Jasvir Dhanda. Jasvir Dhanda told that the complainant Krishna Verma's friend Vishal resident Kanungo Mohalla Kaithal came to his house at around four o'clock on March 10, 2017 and said that I have to go to the public market to get money from my father, you leave me there on your bike. Krishna made him sit on the bike to take him . On reaching the Janata Market, Krishna started calling his mobile phone from Samsung J-7 Accused, Vishal hit and ran away snatching Krishna's mobile phone. Krishna also chased him but he could not catch him. Krishna complained at the police station following which police arrested vishal .
The court of session judge Ritu YK Bahl, after hearing both sides, found Vishal guilty of snatching the phone in the light of evidence and witnesses and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10, 000.
