The renovation work of Heritage Street will be completed soon- Deputy Commissioner Amritsar

AMRITSAR: The sacred route leading to Sachkhand Sri Darbar Sahib and Jallianwala Bagh known as Heritage Street will soon be renovated .

Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Sakshi Sahni made this revelation in a meeting with the officials of Tourism Department Punjab and Municipal Corporation Amritsar and told that the funds received by the Rajya Sabha member from Punjab Mr. Vikramjit Singh Sahni from the quota of the Member of Parliament will be given for this work. That this work will cost about one and a half crore rupees , with which the heritage street will be repainted.

Apart from this, beautiful trees more than six feet high will be planted in this street and large size dustbins will be kept to keep this street which witnesses the arrival of lakhs of pilgrims to Amritsar daily .

She said that a machine is also being provided by Mr. Sahni to keep this street clean regularly.

Apart from this, two golf carts will also be installed in this street for visiting Sri Darbar Sahib for small children, elderly people and other needy people.

She asked the officials of both the departments to do this work considering it as a service to Guru Nagar and not to have any shortcoming in this work.

She also said that the quality of work should be maintained and the work should be completed before Diwali. Corporation Officer Mr. Sandeep Singh , Sun Foundation Officer Kanwar Sukhjinder Singh , Tourism Department Officer S. Sukhchain Singh were also present on this occasion.
