SKM (NP) - KMM Agreed to Discuss adopting Repeal of NPFAM as one of the focal demands of united Kisan Movement

CHANDIGARH: The meeting discussed in detail the resolution adopted in Moga Mahapanchayat on the demand of repeal the NPFAM (National Policy Framework on Agricultural Marketing) and leaders of SKM (NP)- KMM said they will discuss in their leadership forum on theSamyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) demand to put it as one of the focal demands of the united struggle. They also requested time for discussing the SKM demand for formig a coordination committee between the two Platforms.

In the context of the deteriorating health condition of Jagith Sing Dallewal who is on fast - unto death struggle for the last 53 days, SKM had given call to hold Mass Kisan Dharna in front of Residence/ Office of Members of Parliament across the country on 20th January 2025 or any date decided by the respective State Coordination committee(SCC). Farmers will hand over the letter to the Prime Minister to MP's demanding to pursue the Prime Minister to hold immediate discussion with all the Kisan organaisations, save the life of Dallewal, discuss the demands of MSP@C2+ 50% with legally guaranteed procurment, loan waiver to farmers and farm workers among other demands as per the written agreement dated 9.12.21 by the NDA 2 Govt. and withdraw the anti-farmer anti- federal NPFAM.

The proposals in the discussion will be placed in the SKM GB and extended NCC Meeting scheduled on 24, 25 January 2025 at HKS Surjeet Bhawan, New Dehi.

Members of the Six Member Committee, Joginder Singh Ugrahan, Balbir Singh Rajewal, P Krishnaprasad, Darshan Pal and Raminder Singh Patiala attended the meeting. SKM leaders Harinder Singh Lakhowal, Baldev Singh Nihalgarh and Jhanda Singh Jethuke also joined. The SKM(NP) and KMM leaders participated include Sarwan Singh Pandher, Surjit Singh phul, Gurvinder Singh Bhanghu, Ranjit Singh Raju, Manjit Singh Rai, Lakhwinder Singh Aulakh, S.S Hardojhande, Amarjit Mohri, Jaswinder Singh Longowal and Jarnail Singh Ratia.
