AMRITSAR: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has unanimously rejected the resignation of its President, Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, and urged him to resume his duties immediately.
The decision was taken during a meeting of the SGPC Interim Committee, chaired by Senior Vice President Raghujit Singh Virk, at the SGPCS Sub office in Chandigarh.
Following the meeting, Virk announced that all Interim Committee members would personally visit Dhami’s residence in Hoshiarpur to persuade him to return as the head of the Sikh organization.
Balwinder Singh Bhudar acting president of SAD welcomed the SGPC executive committee decision and appealed to Advocate Dhami to resume his duties. He said that Advocate Dhami had very good track record and he is dedicated to his mission.
