CHANDIGARH: SGPC members Surinder Singh Bhulewalratha, Bhai Manjit Singh, : Satwinder Singh Tohra, Jarnail Singh Kartarpur and Malkit Singh Changal thanked former Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Raghubir Singh Ji for making the nation aware and alert about all these unfortunate developments in the way Panthic rituals were violated during the coronation ceremony of the new Jathedars of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahibyesterday.
In the statement issued, SGPC members said that some people are violating Panthic rituals and principles due to their stubbornness and arrogance. First, they used their influence to get the Inner Committee to make a decision against the sentiments of the community, just like Dera Sirsa was granted amnesty exactly 10 years ago, in the same vein, wrong decisions are being made under the jurisdiction of the Inner Committee using their influence.
SGPC members said that the anti-Panth developments of the past few days have caused great pain to the community. SGPC members have strongly demanded that those who violated the etiquette during the turban bandi of the Jathedar Sahib of Sri Kesgarh Sahib and put a stain on the forehead of the community and had it put on should be expelled from the Panth. SGPC members said that in the dark times, the turban bandi done without the light and illumination of the Guru, without the presence of the Granth and the Panth, has sent a bad message to Sikhs all over the world.
Along with this, SGPC members said that in the coming days, all SGPC members will be mobilized to form a front against this Panthic custom and the anti-Panth decisions of the Interim Committee.
