CHANDIGARH: Shiromani G6 Parban6 Committee (SGPC) members should come forward to fulfill their moral duty to get the resolutions on removal of Jathedar Saheban by the internal committee of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee cancelled.
Expressing these words, SGPC members Mr Surinder Singh Bhulewal Rathan, Bhai Manjit Singh, Jaswant Singh Pudain, Mas: Mithu Singh Kahneke and Jatha: Jarnail Singh Kartarpur jointly said that the Sangat will not tolerate changing High priests like a police officer and speaking abusive language towards them.
In the statement issued, the members asked the SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami, who is going to resume service, to immediately cancel the resolutions that have been passed that are offensive to the Panthic faith and to pass the procedure for giving service to the Jathedar Sahiban and for retirement according to Panthic customs in the general meeting on March 28.
The SGPC members emphasized that every member should raise his voice on the above two important issues in the general meeting.
In the statement issued, the SGPC members said that this is not a vote for the election of the presidency but an issue related to the dignity of the Takht and the Jathedar Sahiban of the Takht Sahibans. No Sikh can tolerate resolutions that hurt the dignity of the Takht.
The nation will not tolerate such decisions challenging the Takht Sahib, due to which the supremacy, greatness and concept of the Takht Sahib is hurt and the people who bring and pass such resolutions should understand that earlier Babur, Abdali and Indira Gandhi had tried to show their power by demolishing the building of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, now the concept has been attacked by those who are protecting it, but this conspiracy will not be allowed to be completed.
In the statement issued, the leaders said that the Sangat should urge their respective SGPC members to sign the petition for the restoration of the dignity of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, and if the members do not do so, they will be socially boycotted and cursed.
Along with this, the SGPC members also appealed to the entire Sangat to attend the general meeting to be held on March 28 in large numbers so that the Sangat can see the faces of those SGPC members who do not raise their voices to get the resolutions repealed and do not support the resolutions to get the resolutions repealed.
