AMRITSAR: Shiromani Akali Dal has taken seriously the issue of registration of non-Sikhs and other fake votes in the voter lists of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee across Punjab and all SGPCs related to the party An emergency meeting of member colleagues has been called on January 21 at 1.30 pm at the party headquarters, Chandigarh.

Balwinder Singh and all the members of the Parliamentary Board will participate in it, President of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. Harjinder Singh Dhami and former president of Shiromani Akali Dal. Sukhbir Singh Badal will attend as a dignitary.

Today, while giving detailed information about this, the secretary and spokesperson of the party, Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema said that according to the reports coming from all over Punjab, under the orders of the Aam Aadmi Party government led by Bhagwant Mann, there are reports of frauds on a large scale in the voter lists of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee.

He said that the votes which were deposited by Shiromani Akali Dal leaders and workers are missing from the voter lists and fake votes from ``Singh'' and ``Kaur'' were registered on a large scale without any photograph.

He said that since January 23 is the last date for claims and objections, the party will collect all the cases of Punjab and raise evidence with the Gurudwara Election Commission to cancel the wrong votes.

All SGPCs members appealed to their colleagues to check the voter lists of their respective constituencies and bring them with the details of the erroneous votes.
