Farmer leader appeals people to reach Khanauri
CHANDIGARH: Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal in a live video late tonight claimed that AAP government of Punjab was preparing to attack farmer protest site at Khanauri where Dallewal is sitting on fast unto death. He said that big police force is ready to attack them.
Dallewal said that Punjab government wanted him to end the fast. He said that he was fasting in support of demands of farmers of this country. He said that instead of listening to grievances of farmers, this government is ready to attack them. He said that Punjab government was working in liaison with center government. He appealed to people to reach Khanauri to save the protest.
The Punjab police officers today held two rounds of talks with Dallewal and appealed him to end the fast in the light of Supreme Court order. Dallewal refused to end fast and take medical aid. He also objected to Supreme Court observations and said that SC shall address the issues of farmers and not to toe the line of center government.
