Sidak Singh is the son of local businessman Charanjit Singh. Upon learning of his success, his family and well-wishers were overwhelmed with joy. His uncle, Tajinder Singh Sonu, shared that the first step the family took after receiving the news was to visit the historic Gurdwara Sri Sukhchain Sahib in Phagwara to offer prayers and gratitude.
In a conversation with local media, Sidak reflected on his journey. “I completed my Class 10 from St. Joseph’s Convent School in Phagwara and Class 12 from Swami Sant Dass School. I pursued my graduation (B.A. Hons.) from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, in 2017. It was then that I decided to begin preparations for the UPSC exams, ” he said.
Despite the challenges, including several attempts, Sidak remained undeterred. His breakthrough came on the sixth attempt—a testament to his dedication and resilience. “My aim is to serve the country with integrity and ensure justice for every section of society, always within the framework of the law, ” he stated.
The Singh family’s joy was shared by the local community, with residents visiting their home to extend congratulations.
