MP Arora meets 10 Union Minister after formation of new government at Centre

LUDHIANA: The new term of the government at center started in June this year. Since then, MP (Rajya Sabha) from Ludhiana Sanjeev Arora has met 10 Cabinet Ministers in the Modi Cabinet, raising development issues concerning Ludhiana and other parts of Punjab. This act of Arora reflects his commitment towards people of Ludhiana in particular and state of Punjab as a whole.

Arora demanded commencement of new Shatabdi or Vande Bharat Express service from Delhi to Ludhiana and short stopover at Sabzi Mandi station for Amritsar Shatabdi Express trains 12013 and 12014 during his meeting with the Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw.

During his meeting with Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, he took up the issue of operations from Sahnewal & Halwara airports.

He also met the Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare JP Nadda and discussed how to achieve affordable healthcare for all.

Arora met twice the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari and demanded construction of vehicular and light vehicle underpass in Ludhiana and construction of entry and exit on GT Road Doraha for Jain Teerath - Mani Lakshmi Dham. He also sought expediting construction of parking along the elevated highway in the city, resumption of Ludhiana-Rupnagar Greenfield highway project and construction for Southern Ludhiana Bypass Greenfield Highway.

He met the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for AYUSH Jadhav Prataprao Ganpatrao and demanded establishment of All India Institute of Ayurveda in Ludhiana.

During his meeting with the Union Minister of Labour & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports Dr Mansukh Mandaviya he demanded expansion of ESIC Hospital at Ludhiana and grant for construction of indoor and outdoor stadiums in Rural Punjab.

In a meeting with the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman he urged to consider some pressing issues pertaining to taxpayers and industry.

He also met the Union Home Minister Amit Shah and discussed issues in general and few on Punjab.

During his meeting with the Union Minister for Food Processing Industries Chirag Paswan he sought urgent attention of the Ministry for the setting up and incentives to Food Processing Industries in Punjab.

He also met Bhupender Yadav, Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. Arora discussed and requested to get Environment Clearance (EC) violations resolved. Till this issue is resolved developmental works of such institutions are at stand still.

Meanwhile, Arora said, “People of Punjab, specially Ludhianvis, motivate me to work harder for not only bringing better and additional infrastructure but also for upgrading the existing infrastructure”. He added he is thankful to Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann for extending full cooperation in meeting expectations of people. He said he is also thankful to people for giving him solid and constructive feedback and suggestions, resulting to which he is taking up all the issues at the Centre and the State-level besides raising issues in Rajya Sabha. He said his mission to make Ludhiana city more liveable will continue in the future also.
