Anti-cult forces are interfering in the annual election of SGPC - Advocate Dhami

AMRITSAR: After being announced as the candidate for the post of president for the annual election of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami thanked the Shiromani Akali Dal.

Talking to the media at the Shiromani Committee office, Advocate Dhami said that today anti-cult forces are adopting some tactics to seize the management of the Sikh organization that came into existence after many sacrifices, which the Khalsa Panth needs to be aware of with unity.

Advocate Dhami said that Sikhs have seen very difficult times in history, but it has never happened that there was an attempt to buy members with money to influence the election of office bearers of the Shiromani Committee.

He said that BJP, Congress, AAP, RSS and anti-sect forces are making various efforts to make Shiromani Committee members against the candidate of Akali Dal by directly interfering in the election of Shiromani Committee office bearers. He said that people associated with BJP are also trying to help one faction.
Giving examples of Sikh organizations such as Takht Sri Patna Sahib, Takht Sri Hazur Sahib, Delhi and Haryana Committee, Advocate Dhami said that these Sikh organizations are already being managed by BJP and RSS with government intervention and now by the sect opponents in Punjab. Inner Takht Sahibs and representative body of Sikhs .Efforts are being made to manage the Shiromani Committee accordingly.
He urged the Khalsa Panth and all Shiromani Committee members to unite and be aware of the tactics of the anti-sect forces.

Reacting to being called a weak President in the past, Advocate Dhami said that he believes in serving the Guru Sahib with fear and humility and if anyone feels this weakness, it may be his own intellectuality. He said that he cannot give up his nature and respect everyone.

The Shiromani Committee President thanked all the members for resolutely responding to the anti-sect forces and representing the spirit of the sect by remaining steadfast.
