AMRITSAR: The colonies were demolished while taking action against the unauthorized colonies being built. District Town Planner while giving information said that according to the instructions of the government to control the future development, the unauthorized colony being developed on the backside of Sant Enclave Colony at village Wazir Bhullar has been stopped by issuing a notice under the Papara Act-1995.
Demolition has been carried out , as the owners of the unauthorized colonies ignored the government's instructions and followed the government rules. Instead of giving an explanation regarding the said unauthorized colony, despite the threats and notices being issued, the development works were continued on the spot , under which the said action was implemented under the orders of the higher officials. Apart from this, the unauthorized colony being developed at Tangra was demolished earlier but the colonizer had started redevelopment works in the colony , due to which the new development works were demolished again.
ADA Chief Administrator Ankurjit Singh , IAS and Additional Chief Administrator Major Amit Sareen , PCS, led by District Town Planner (Regulatory) Gursevak Singh Aulakh. Below by the regulatory wing of ADA in the presence of police officers of police station Tarsikka at village Tangra and Wajir Bhullar on Jalandhar GT Road.
He also clarified that a person who cuts an unauthorized colony can be jailed for 3 to 7 years and fined 2 to 5 lakhs under the Papara Act, under which a total of 13 colonizers have been registered as FIRs.
Apart from this, the regulatory wing of PUDA periodically checks the opportunity of unauthorized colonies being developed in Amritsar district by issuing notices under the Papara Act-1995 and stopping the work of the colonies and taking further legal action to the concerned police station officer. Being asked for The District Town Planner (Regulatory) has also put up boards not to buy plots in these unauthorized colonies to alert the general public.
District Town Planner (Regulatory) , Amritsar has appealed to the general public that before purchasing plots in illegal colonies which are not approved by the PUDA Department , they must seek the permission issued by the PUDA regarding the colony. Which does not cause loss of their wealth and does not cause trouble for them.
