AMRITSAR: Giani Raghbir Singh Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib has strongly condemned the arrest warrant issued by the police against Sikh leader Bhai Tejinder Pal Singh Tima of Rajasthan.
In a written statement issued by Sri Akal Takht Sahib Secretariat, Giani Raghbir Singh said that Bhai Tima had not committed any treasonous act, but the Rajasthan government, while strangling the constitutional freedom of expression of ideas, had initially falsely accused Bhai Tima of sedition. Minorities by filing lawsuitsTried to make a sense of slavery and Bhai Tima is being bullied by issuing arrest warrants despite being granted anticipatory bail by the High Court.
Giani Raghbir Singh said that the entire Sikh community will always stand united against bullying any Sikh anywhere in the country.
He also advised the government to abandon the Hatha religion and adopt a just attitude towards the minorities while practicing the state religion.
He has also ordered the Shiromani Committee to take appropriate legal action against Bhai Tima's bullying by the Rajasthan government.
