ATTARI (AMRITSAR): A 65-member contingent from India to participate in the 34th World Punjabi Conference to be held in Lahore from January 19 to 21 entered Pakistan today via the Wagah-Attari road.
On the invitation of Pakistan's former minister Fakhar Zaman, the delegation led by World Punjabi Conference Indian Chapter Coordinator Sahajpreet Singh Mangat, Indian Chapter Chairman Dr. Deepak Manmohan Singh and eminent poet and Punjabi Heritage Lok Academy Chairman Gurbhajan Singh. Gill is doing This time the conference will be about Sufism in which various papers will be read and there will be discussions.
In addition to prominent personalities associated with literature, art, culture, journalism field, ex-IAS, IPS. Officers, professors etc. are included.
During the conference, new books published in Shahmukhi along with Gurmukhi by Gurbhajan Singh Gill, Sahajpreet Singh Mangat, Trailochan Lochi and Navdeep Singh Gill will also be released.
The prominent personalities included in the delegation include Darshan Singh Buttar, Dr Sukhdev Sirsa, Kahan Singh Pannu, Gurpreet Singh Toor, Jang Bahadur Goyal, Amrit Kaur Gill, Pammi Bai, Dolly Guleria, Sunita Dhir etc. Along with Lahore, the delegation will also visit Nankana Sahib, Kartarpur Sahib, Gujranwala and Kasur.
