AMRITSAR: Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, president of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, strongly condemned a man's entry into the Gurdwara Sahib in Rajpura with a bare head and with shoes , saying that such anti-Sikh movements are constantly increasing, but the government of Punjab is not taking it seriously..
He said that Gurdwara Sahibs are the center of faith for Sikhs, where it is natural for any movement against the norms to create resentment in the community.
Shiromani Committee President said that people who are disrespecting the Punjab government are getting emboldened due to their failure. Advocate Dhami said that the government of Punjab has been so careless towards these matters that action is far from being taken, but the Chief Minister has not even condemned the incidents that happened in the past few days.
He said that the cases of blasphemy are not common incidents, conspiratorial people are definitely working behind them, which must be brought to the fore. He appealed to the Sikh Sangat to adopt a serious approach to maintenance of service in the Gurdwara Sahibs, so that mischievous people do not succeed in their plans.
Meanwhile Baba Balbir Singh Jathedar of Akali 96 Crore Mukhi Budha Dal has strongly condemned the incident in Rajpura, calling it unfortunate.
He said that in Central Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha Nilpur Road, Rajpura, a young man named Sahil wanted to carry out some unfortunate incident by putting on boots and reaching Golak, but he was caught on the spot by the sevadars of Gu:rdwara Sahib.
He said that the accused has repeatedly tried to forcefully enter the Gurdwara Sahib, which has been caught and handed over to the police. This person is now being called semi-mad by his parents when he came to Gurdwara Sahib by driving a car in elaborate clothes.
He said that often when such accused are caught and then they start pretending to be mad, why has this person not gone to another place of worship in this condition.
He said that some people are carrying out such incidents under the guise of religious places to break the fraternity and spoil the atmosphere of Punjab. But wise and alert managers have caught this person before he could do any more mischief.
He has also appealed to the servadars of other guru ghars to be alert and aware.
