CHANDIGARH: sanyukt Kisan morcha (SKM) Delegations will urge Chief Ministers to Adopt Resolution in the Assembly to Reject NPFAM and Write Letter to PM to Hold Talks with Kisan Organisations and Save Life of Dallewal.
In the context of the fast-unto-death struggle of Jagjit Singh Dallewal at Khanauri border has crossed 52 days, a series of protest action and interaction with political parties will be undertaken to put pressure on the Union Government with the demands of immediately hold talks with all the Kisan Organisations on the long pending demands including MSP and loan waiver, save the life of Jagjit Singh Dallewal and immediately withdraw the National Policy Framework on Agricultural Marketing.
The National Coordination Committee meeting held on 15th January 2025 decided that SKM will write letter to the Prime Minister stressing on the grave situation of danger to the life of Dallewal who is on fast for the last 52 days.
SKM will organise Kisan Mahapanchayat in all the States. The respective State Coordination Committees (SCC’s) of SKM will meet immediately to decide the date and venue. A massive Kisan Mahapanchayat has been scheduled on 11. 02. 2025 at Patna, Bihar and NCC leadership will attend.
Delegations of SKM will meet the respective Chief Ministers urging to adopt resolution in the Assembly to reject the anti-farmer, anti-federal National Policy Framework on Agricultural Marketing (NPFAM) and demand the Union Government to repeal the same with immediate effect, write a letter to the Prime Minister to hold discussions immediately with the Kisan organisations and save the life of Dallewal.
SKM will hold One Day Dharna on 20th January 2025 - or any other suitable date as decided by the SCC’s, in front of the residence/office of the respective Members of Parliament and urge them to put pressure upon the Prime Minister.
SKM also calls upon the farmers to undertake week-long campaigns in the villages along with Kisan Rallies / Torchlight Processions on the date as decided by the SCC’s.
The central Trade Unions have decided that the workers also will join the 26 January 2025 Tractor/ Vehicle/ Motorcycle Parade in support of the farmers’ demands.
