AMRITSAR: In order to run the propagation of religion in states outside Punjab in a more effective manner, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has assigned Ram Singh Rathore as the honorary in-charge of Sikh Mission Karnataka, Goa and Gujarat.
In this regard, yesterday, Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami and Senior Vice President Raghujit Singh Virk handed over an official letter to him and activated him. Giving information, Secretary of Dharam Prachar Committee Balwinder Singh Kahlwan said that under the leadership of Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, the Dharam Prachar Committee is working to connect the Sangat with Gurmat and inspire them to remain mature in Sikh life, while a large number of preachers, poets and dhadi jathas are serving in Punjab, while Sikh missions established in different states are also fulfilling their responsibility.
He said that in accordance with the same spirit of Sikh propagation, Advocate Dhami has appointed Ram Singh Rathore as the honorary in-charge of Sikh Mission Karnataka, Goa and Gujarat.
He said that Ram Singh has been given the responsibility of propagating Sikhism in these states and also collecting the details of Sikh families residing there and sending them to the office of Dharam Prachar Committee.
Kahlwan said that for the propagation of religion, other preachers will also be deployed along with Mr Rathore.
OSD Satbir Singh Dhami, Secretary of Dharam Prachar Committee Balwinder Singh Kahlwan, Personal Secretary S. Shahbaz Singh were also present on the occasion of giving appointment to S. Ram Singh Rathore.
