CHANDIGARH: Republic TV has launched a campaign against Judiciary in Maharashtra and questioned the role of judges for not granting bail to Channel's Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami arrested by Mumbai Police in an abetment to suicide case.
The Channel has laUnched a debate, the participants demanding intervention of center government for release of Goswami. The anchors of TV channel have questioned the integrity of judicial officers who are delaying the decision on bail of Arnab Goswami. The anchors and participants have quoted many other examples where bails were granted even in serious cases. The application for interim bail by Goswami was heard by Maharashtra High Court and it has reserved the order till further orders.
The procovation came after Arban Goswami during shifting to another jail alleged that he was beaten up in judicial custody. He has pleaded to the Supreme Court to save him life fearing danger to his life. He pleaded with foldedf hands to save him. An impression is being given by channel that Maharashtra government was influencing the Judicairy to keep Arnab behind bars. An anchor claimed that government was feared of Arnab Goswami who exposed the Maharashtra Police in Sushant Rajput case.
The channel anchoras have claimed that whole nation was standing behind Arnab Goswami. Interestingly, no other channel except Republic was showing any footage of Arnab. Even reports of his arrest were not carried by media. It seems the Republic anchors were trying to influence Judiciary to release Arnab who faces serious criminal charges. The channel must understand that nobody is above law.
