CHANDIGARH: Power engineers across the country celebrated completion of 51 glorious years of All India Power Engineers Federation (AIPEF) on Friday .The main function was held at Nagpur where all state constituents participated.
The event was organized by the Subordinate Engineers' Association of Maharashtra , Shailendra Dubey Chairman , Ratnakar Rao Secretary General , Ashok Rao, Suneel Grover from Himachal, Srinath Reddy from Telangana , Jasbir Dhiman President PSEBEA, Yash Pal Sharma Secretary (Hq), Sachin Tikoo from J & K , Santosh Khumkar General secretary SEA were amongst the two scores of engineers present from all over India.
V K Gupta spokesperson AIPEF informed that AIPEF was founded by Harbans Singh, then Chairman PSEB, assisted by R S Verma, from Himachal Pradesh, Bhopal Singh from UP , Shrikant Mane from Maharashtra, and other engineers on August 16, 1973.
Shailender Dubey, congratulated all power engineers on the occasion and paid homage to all past office bearers who are not with us today but without their tireless efforts AIPEF would not have reached the present position.
Rathnakar Rao secretary general said that AIPEF will continue to seek professionalization of power utilities for its betterment.
In Haryana , 52nd foundation day is celebrated in Vidyut Sadan Hisar by Haryana Power Engineers Association. FR Naqvi SE , Rajesh Ninaniya , Vikrant Sangwan Pardip Dhull, and Baljit Beniwal were among those present on the occasion and cut the cake.
EA S Sarma former secretary to government in a message said that the AIPEF continues to be an important partner in developing the electricity sector on all fronts in a way that promotes the well-being of electricity consumers across the length and breadth of the country.
