Opposition’s Silence on Atrocities Against Hindus in Bangladesh Exposes Self-Serving Politics: Avinash Rai Khanna

PHAGWARA: Former BJP Rajya Sabha MP Avinash Rai Khanna has expressed deep concern over the rising incidents of violence and discrimination against Hindus in Bangladesh. Highlighting that over 12.5 million Hindus reside in Bangladesh, Khanna drew parallels between the orchestrated atrocities against Hindus in Pakistan and the growing threats faced by the community in Bangladesh.

“Incidents of attacks on Hindus and their religious places in 52 districts of Bangladesh have become alarmingly frequent. From the theft of the crown at the revered Jeshoreshwari Temple to forced resignations of Hindu minorities and assaults on Durga Puja pandals, the situation is worsening, ” Khanna said.

He criticized the Indian opposition parties for their silence on these issues, accusing them of prioritizing political interests over the welfare of Hindus. “The opposition claims to stand for the interests of Hindus within India, but why are they silent on the atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh? Their indifference exposes their selfish political agenda, ” Khanna remarked.

Khanna urged citizens to recognize this “self-serving” attitude and stated that political entities using a community’s welfare as a façade for their own interests should be rejected in the national interest.

The former MP called for serious attention and action to address the plight of Hindus in Bangladesh, emphasizing that global Hindu unity and advocacy are crucial to counter such injustices
