RP Singh to appeal his government demanding death sentence for Sajjan Kumar
CHANDIGARH: The life sentence handed out to Congress leader Sajjan Kumar has once again reiterated Bharatiya Janta Party's commitment to bring justice to its Sikh brethren in 1984 genocide. From the first day the incidence was reported to 41 years later, BJP is committed to ensure that Sajjan Kumar gets death sentence for the heinous crime he has committed.

The BJP National Spokesperson RP Singh said this here today while addressing media in Chandigarh at the sector 37 BJP office. He was flanked by state general secretary Jagmohan Raju and state media head Vineet Joshi.

He added that the verdict could have been possible only due to consistent efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. The verdict has come as major breather for the Sikh community.

He said that his party will appeal the center government that through CBI an appeal be made to the higher court for giving death sentence to Sajjan Kumar.

He said that Sajjan Kumar first killed a son in front of his father and then killed the father as well.

Demanding death sentence for Sajjan Kumar he said that the justice has been delayed to Sikh community due to wrong and shady policies of Congress. He added that the Congress leaders tried to shield the accused – especially the Delhi Chief Minsiter Sheila Dixit left no stone unturned to save the culprits.

He accused that when the genocide was being done, the then Home Minister PV Narsimha Rao had controlled it on directions of the Office of Prime Minister.

Rajiv Gandhi's statement - when a tree falls, the entire earth shakes – had added fuel to the fire. Even today, Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi are not avoiding Jagdish Tytler because they fear that if Tytler takes the name of Rajiv Gandhi, the problems of the Gandhi family may increase.

-- Now its turn of Jagdish Tytler, Kamalnath
RP Singh said that after Sajjan Kumar, it was now turn of Jagdish Tytler and Kamalnath. He added that both these leaders will now face imprisonment. '

RP Singh added that he has made his daughter a lawyer so that the war for justice continues even after him and the guilty are brought to gallows.

He alleged that the children of Sikh riot affected areas were pushed into the web of drugs so that they are not able to pursue justice for themselves.
